North Tacoma Cooperative Preschool was founded as the Grant Co-op in 1997 by a small group of families seeking a warm preschool community for their two- to five-year olds. Today, NTCP serves over 35 students and their families while continuing to foster a close-knit school community. NTCP is also a Parent Participation Program coordinated by the Home & Family Life Department of Bates Technical College.
North Tacoma Cooperative Preschool is a place where children ages 2-5 will learn through hands-on experiences, explore through imaginary play, and grow in independence, confidence and self-esteem in a positive, safe environment. The co-op features low tuition, a high adult-to-child ratio, parent education opportunities and a wonderful teacher with 15 years of classroom experience.
In fall 2012, we relocated to Central Lutheran Church, 409 North Tacoma Avenue, in Tacoma’s Stadium District. (See map below.)
From I-5, take I-705 toward City Center, exit for Schuster Parkway, and then exit to Stadium Way. Turn right on Stadium Way, follow the hill up and turn left on N 1st Street.
